- Objectives: Be able to (1) describe the structure of light microscopes; (2) explain the function and proper use of microscopes to study biological systems

- Warm-up: What do you think the average diameter is for a typical cell in your skin? How many times smaller is this than a typical grain of rice? Explore Cell Size and Scale animation together. [10]

- Reminder of the week’s goals and objectives [2]

- Complete Microscope Skills Lab (Due this Friday) [65]

- Show your completed Biomolecule Assembly for credit [~65]

- Discuss your Enzyme Lab procedure with Mr. Bursch [~65]

- Carry out preliminary (practice) enzyme experiments [15 - 20]


HOMEWORK:

- (1) Make sure your enzyme lab procedure is ready; (2) Work on Student Blog Post Assignments #3, #4, and #5 for TSOTS
