- Objectives: prepare a well-documented presentation summarizing your scientific research and share with your peers through an interactive presentation AND engage in the presentations of your peers, asking questions and offering ideas

- Warm-up: What’s your planned symposium activity? Are you on pace to be ready with your presentation materials (slideshow, handouts, demo materials, gadgets, etc.) [3]

- Student presentation: see schedule (EXCEPT PERIOD 3)

- Work on any biology project (PERIOD 3 ONLY)

OUTSIDE OF CLASS:

- (1) Work on ESLP; (2) Symposium research;

Mr. Bursch, Students, and ESLP Native Garden Projects Make the Local News!

On Thursday, May 14,  ABC 7 News (KGO-TV) put together and aired the following story on SJUSD's evaluation of a native plant landscaping project that started at Willow Glen High as a student service learning project:

SJUSD facilities supervisor Nick Nakao is presently working with other district personnel to determine how to implement the concept at sites district-wide.
