Objectives: Define solid waste and describe the sources of and environmental problems associated with generation and disposal of solid wastes

Warm-up: If you did the personal solid waste project during the summer, how much garbage (in pounds) did you personally accumulate in one week? If not, how much garbage would you estimate you produce each week? [5]
