AP Environmental Science: IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL STUDENTS--PLEASE READ

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Lectures 3, 4, 5, and 6 from Unit 2 are now available online on the AP Environment Science page--please study them, take notes as needed, and be ready to discuss ideas from lectures 3 and 4 on Tuesday. In the interest of reserving limited class time for critical discussions and explanations, I will no longer be presenting slideshows with the intention of having students copy notes in class. This time will instead be devoted to concept-reinforcing activities, labs, projects, review, and assessment.

You will have additional time in class to work on your Rock ID books on Tuesday, but they will still be due that day at the end of the period.

For clarification, the Heat of Combustion lab "Calculations" (#1-6) for your own data should be completed by Tuesday, 9/8. I will then collect your values on Tuesday (9/8) and publish the data from all groups (periods 1 and 3) on the class website. You will then decide to use either the average or median of these data to answer analysis/conclusion questions 1-5. The completed lab writeup with all data, calculations, and analysis question responses is due Thursday, 9/10.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email me as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Mr. Bursch
