AGENDA:

Objectives: Be able to explain how an area’s climate influences/shapes the biogeochemical cycles that occur there and how this, in turn, determines the kinds of life able to exist in that place

Warm-up: Why is the number of top-level (3rd level and higher) consumers usually so much smaller than the number of producer organisms in any given food chain? [5]

Ecology Quiz 1 [25]

(1) Complete Climate Diagram practice and get stamped;
(2) finish Ecology Field Day (Parts 1 and 2) and turn in; and
(3) finish Ecosystem Map Poster assignment and submit [60]

Seed Lab accessibility/completeness check, TSOTS scoring [~60]

TSOTS Brassica oleracea seedling transplanting will take place the week we return from fall break


OUTSIDE OF CLASS:

Make sure your team’s Ecosystem Map Poster is turned in no later than Friday, 3:30 pm and have a great fall break!
