- Objectives: Be able to (1) draw and describe the basic structure of DNA and chromosomes; (2) explain the process of and need for DNA replication in cells; (3) explain the process of protein synthesis (central dogma)
- Warm-up: Which biomolecule transmits and stores genetic information? Where is the biomolecule found in abundance? [3]
- Review DNA structure and replication concepts from yesterday [20 - 25]
- Introduction to protein synthesis [55]
- DNA and Protein Synthesis Review [25]
OUTSIDE OF CLASS:
- (1) Submit Genetics Virtual Triathlon no later than Friday, 12/12
- (2) Work on TSOTS Student Blog Post Assignments, due 12/12;
- (3) Meiosis Mini-project (none will be accepted after 12/12);
- (4) Wrap up ESLP and place summary write-up in turn-in folder no later than 12/12
