Mr. Bursch’s Biology 1-2 is one of the introductory life science courses at WGHS. The core curriculum of the class is built around the life science portions of California’s Next Generation Science Standards for California Public Schools, Kindergarten through Grade Twelve and fundamental principles of biology. The class is designed to introduce students to fundamental concepts in biology through a combination of thoughtful reading, lively lectures, engaging hands-on activities, and challenging projects, with a continual emphasis on agroecology.
