AGENDA:
- Objectives: Use the scientific method to work toward an explanation for the disappearance of your Brassica plants
- Warm-up: If a cell suddenly was in need of a particular protein, like amylase (an enzyme used to break down starch into simpler sugars) for example, how would the molecular machinery of the cell know what the correct sequence was for the string of amino acids that forms amylase so that it could build this polypeptide?
- Brief introduction to protein synthesis (so-called Central Dogma of biology) [20]
- Finish cellular respiration questions (now late) and DNA structure/wrapping/replication questions and show them to Mr. Bursch
