Daily Summary 01-10

BIOLOGY

- Objective: Be able to explain how the chemical reactions of glycolysis, Krebs cycle, and electron transport (oxidative phosphorylation) work together to create ATP using energy stored in chemical bonds of glucose molecule

- Homework check [5]

- Warm up: (at your desk) take out fermentation lab, review lab data and then complete questions #8 and #9 [8]

- Go over lab, meet with group to finish (due tomorrow) [20]

- Answer 9-2 questions on handout from last Thursday (paper has crossword puzzle on back) then go over [20]


HOMEWORK: Complete crossword puzzle review


TOMORROW: Krebs cycle, electron transport chain, and effects of exercise on cellular respiration rates

- Objective: Be able to describe the process of alcoholic fermentation and explain how factors like food source and temperature affect rates of fermentation

- Warm up: Meet with your group, review and finalize your procedure

- Gather necessary materials and conduct fermentation experiment per your group’s written procedure


HOMEWORK: Work on lab questions (lab due Friday)
