– Objectives: SWBAT describe the structure of a DNA nucleotide, the DNA double helix, chromatin, and a eukaryotic chromosome 

– Warm-up: From what you already know, come up with at least two factual details about DNA (its chemical composition, molecular structure, its function, etc.) [5]

– Turn in Mitosis Mini-book (now late)

– Turn in Assignment Stamp Log (now late)

– Introduction to DNA: the structure of a DNA nucleotide, the DNA double helix, chromatin, and a eukaryotic chromosome 


HOMEWORK:

– Sketch and describe the different levels of structure in a eukaryotic chromosome. Use p. 297 in your text and the internet (HINT: use the search phrase “chromosome structure”)
