- Objectives: Be able to (1) describe the structure of enzymes; (2) explain the function and importance of enzyme activity in biological systems (3) explain how temperature and pH affect enzyme activity levels

- Warm-up: Which type of biomolecule is an enzyme? What are the monomers (individual repeating chemical units) that are joined together to form this type of biomolecule? [3]

- Quickly go over biomolecules graphic organizer [8]

- Finish Biomolecule Assembly [40]

- Introduction to Enzymes (reading on your own) [20]

- Start Enzyme Lab (choose factor and design experiment) [30]


HOMEWORK:

- (1) Write up your enzyme lab procedure using the Enzyme Lab Guide, (2) Work on Student Blog Post Assignments #3, #4, and #5 for TSOTS
