- Objectives: Use data to construct accurate age structure diagrams for a selected country and then analyze the diagram and data to predict likely future growth patterns for its population

- Warm-up: What is Total Fertility Rate (TFR) and how does it correspond to the shape of an age structure diagram for a given population? [7]

- Finish Lecture 1: Human Population Growth [10]

- Check on Seed Density Lab seeds (Analysis DUE 11/25) [5]

- Lecture 2: Demography and Demographics

- “China” article reading

- Lecture 3, Part I: Population Policy


OUTSIDE OF CLASS:

- Complete “Age structure Diagram” and “How Will Our Population Grow?” assignments for Thursday, 11/19

- Complete "China" article reading and answer all questions in your notes/warm-up notebooks

- Work on Allelopathy Lab and Seed Density Lab

- Brassica plants Warm-up: What are the major functions of a cell’s membrane? [7]

- Online activities explaining structure of and transport across biological cell membranes (you can find the links under “cellular transport” label on class website—use the textbook and online presentation to get additional explanations of these topics) [30]

- Make sure TSOTS Student Blog Post Assignment #3 is done

- Begin Crop Failure Analysis Experiment with your TSOTS team if you are ready, otherwise design experiment and get approval from Mr. Bursch to begin
