AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

AGENDA:

- Objectives: (1) Explain the general purpose of the field of environmental health; (2) Name and describe major categories of environmental health factors; (3) Explain most common methods for assessing relative toxicity of chemicals in the environment

- Warm-up: Take out lab notebooks for stamp, change all instances of “blackworm” or “California blackworm” to “sludge worm” and all instances of “Lumbriculus variegatus” to “Tubifex tubifex” and Medium concentration is now 20ml solution to 180ml of H20 [5]

- Lab: Determination of LC50 of copper sulfate and effects on behavior in Tubifex tubifex [40]

- Cleanup [8-10]

- Introduction to and assignment of Spring ESLP projects [10]
