Daily Summary 04-04

AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

AGENDA:

- Objectives: Define solid waste and describe the sources of and environmental problems associated with generation and disposal of solid wastes, including those designated as “hazardous”


- Warm-up: What do you believe is the most serious solid waste issue on Earth at the moment? Justify your answer. [5]

- Unit 12: Lecture 2: Hazardous Wastes (Student Lecture)

- Research Project interviews and work time


OUTSIDE OF CLASS:

- Answer all parts of question #12 on p. FRQ5 (AP* Free Response Questions in back of Miller);

- Prepare your assigned student-lead lecture (waste reduction team only);

- Make sure your lab notebook and warm-up notebook are ready to turn in no later than Thursday at 3:30 pm (with all tables of contents fully up to date)

AGENDA:

- Objectives: Use all of the skills learned/developed during our unit on formal research skills to continue scholarly research on the topic you have selected for your symposium presentation/lesson

- Warm-up: In your warm-up notebooks, make a personal agenda for this week in biology 1-2 [5]

- Have you answered these questions definitively for your two remaining major projects in this class?

- Interviews with Mr. Bursch and projects work time [40]


OUTSIDE OF CLASS:

- Continue your own research and start planning your lesson

- Work on the steps/parts of your ESLP that you have planned to work on this week
